Starting from the idea that "everything has already been done", I created a series of three objects materialized in the form of volvelles. A volvelle is a circular diagram with rotating parts, considered an early form of an analog computer. Over time, it has been used in various fields, and some examples have reached an extraordinary level of complexity. Among them, there were also models designed for children's entertainment, featuring illustrations and drawings.
I created this illustrated version of the volvelle, using images that present a playful deviation from its original purpose. Each object is accompanied by a poem that can be understood as a "notification" of what is to come. The circular shape is deeply felt, both in terms of its form and the idea of cyclical nature it suggests. It symbolizes a return – AGAIN AND AGAIN – the gaze directed toward what is to come, always accompanied by a return to what was.
