Inspired by the urban landscape surrounding the CdRF (Centrul de Resurse în Fotografie), Double Exposure proposes a photographic series in which the technique of double exposure captures the contrasts between the built environment, nature, and human presence.
This technique allows me to create layered images where visual planes overlap and intertwine, revealing the complexity of the urban environment. The photographs capture the contrasts between the natural and the artificial, between rigid constructions and the living vegetation that envelops them, between the human presence—discreet yet significant—and the rhythms of architecture.
Through this visual exploration, I have sought to capture not only the physical appearance of the places but also a poetic, almost dreamlike atmosphere, where perceptions blend and multiply. Double Exposure thus becomes a meditation on visual memory, on layers of reality, and on the ways in which we relate to the spaces around us. The photographs become an invitation to reflection, to discovering hidden details, and to reconsidering the relationship between human beings and their environment.
