costum was born from a dance between rigidity and fluidity, between sculptural forms and fragile gestures. The project explores the delicate balance between control and unpredictability.
I sculpted the cardboard into sharp, geometric shapes, crafting a corset and a skirt that seem lifted from a theatrical set, softened by delicate tulle – an ethereal presence that breathes with the body. This tension between hardness and delicacy is reflected in two photographic series: one created in the studio, where light was shaped by intent, and the other outdoors, where nature’s elements set the pace. The use of 35mm film added a layer of mystery and depth to the entire process, inviting careful observation and understanding. Each frame became an alchemy of form, texture, and light.
costum is more than just a garment – it is a story of fragility and strength, of gestures sculpted in light and shadow, of how art can transform simple materials into visible emotion.
